17 business tips offered almost a century ago

Recently, I was cleaning out my desk and I found an old pamphlet titled Dale Carnegie’s Golden book.  Dale Carnegie was a bestselling author and motivation speaker in the early to mid 20th century.

Dale Carnegie’s advise is timeless.  You can take the principles that Mr. Carnegie taught almost a century ago and use them to become a successful blogger, freelancer or ecommerce store owner.
* Become genuinely interested in other people
* Be a good listener
* Talk in terms of the other person’s interests
* Show respect for the other person’s opinion
* Begin in a friendly way
* Try honestly to see things from the other person’s point of view
* Dramatize your ideas
* Throw down a challenge
* Don’t fuss about trifles
* Don’t worry about the past
* Do not imitate others
* Try to profit from your losses
* Create happiness for others
* Remember that unjust criticism is often a disguised  compliment
* Do the very best you can.
* Analyze your own mistakes and criticism yourself
* Put enthusiasm into your work
